Parking arrangements such as suspensions and permits are solely customer’s responsibility. Any parking penalty incurred shall be paid by customer.
- Any job cancellation on move day will incur a penalty charge that is 80% of the agreed price.
- We reserve the right to refuse or stop the service at any stage of the move (subject to the attitude and unacceptable behaviour of the customer).
- Packing service cannot include perishable goods such as foods or liquids that have been previously opened.
- The company staff will not be responsible for any damage to items already packed by the customer.
- We are not responsible for any damages that may occur due to unusual requests such as moving furniture out through windows or any circumstances where there is not enough room to manoeuvre goods due to narrow dimensions of doors/stairs/hallways. Maintaining health and safety should always be the priority.
- Any additional items added which are not included in the original inventory may result in the change of agreed price.
- If the distance between the vehicle and premises is 10meter or more, we have the right to increase charges as it will take longer to load and is burdensome on the removal crew.
- Due to safety reasons our removal team will not remove their shoes whilst the move is carried out. Customers are advised to use protective covers to ensure their carpets/floors are not blemished.
- The cost of move which is conducted without a survey and based on an estimation (even an inventory list was given over the phone or email) can be increased on the day of move if more fleet/porters are required.
- The crew are entitled to 20 minutes break with in 3 hours’ time.
- Flammable liquids such as petroleum-based fluids or oil-based paints cannot be permitted in our fleet.
- We cannot carry out any requests that would usually require a specialist service such as connecting electrical appliances at your new property.
- We cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur if customers/those on behalf of customers engage in partial loading/unloading of goods.
- The company fleet are insured for business purposes only therefore no passenger other than the removal crew are permitted.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to keep their valuables such as jewellery, cash and bank cards with them.
- On the day of move, our team is will wait until 01:30PM for the house keys, afterwards waiting charges will incur on hourly basis i.e., £75/hr for each removal truck.
Customer’s responsibility:
It is your sole responsibility to: –
- Declare to us the proper value of the Goods.
- Obtain at your expense all documents necessary for the removal to be completed.
- Be present yourself or appoint a representative at the departure and destination points to ensure that nothing is removed or left in error or is left in the wrong room.
- Prepare adequately and stabilise all appliances prior to their removal.
- Other than by reason of our negligence we will not be liable for any loss or damage, costs or additional charges that may arise from any of these matters.
- Pay for any parking or meter suspension charges incurred by us in carrying out the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Ensure that the fridge freezer, deep freezers are defrosted before transportation and not switched on straightaway, the recommended time to switch on these appliances is 24 hours after delivery. We do not pack and / or transport refrigerated or frozen contents.
- Provide Us with a correct and up to date contact address and telephone number during removal transit and/or storage of goods.
- Ensure that the Goods or items You have packed are packed properly as the items packed by yourself are not covered under our insurance.
- Other than by reason of Our negligence or breach of contract, we will not be liable for any loss or damage, costs or additional charges that may arise from failure to discharge these responsibilities.
Our liability for loss or damage:
- In the event that we lose or damage your Goods, if we are liable, we will pay you up to a maximum of £50.00 sterling for each item which is lost or damaged, to cover the cost of repairing or replacing that item. In this respect an item is defined as any one article, suite, pair, set, complete case, package, carton or other container. The liability towards each item can be increased upon request where additional charges will be applicable.
- We may choose to repair or replace the damaged or lost item. However, if we choose to repair the item, we will not be liable for any depreciation in value.
- Other than because of our negligence, we will not be liable for any loss, damage or failure to deliver the Goods if it is caused by any of the following circumstances:
- Fire howsoever caused.
- War, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), civil war,
- terrorism, rebellion and/or military coup, Act of God, industrial action or other such events outside our reasonable control.
- Normal wear and tear, natural or gradual deterioration, leakage or evaporation or from perishable or unstable Goods. This includes Goods left within furniture or appliances.
- Cleaning, repairing or restoring unless we did the work.
- Moth or vermin or similar infestation.
- Electrical or mechanical derangement to any appliance, instrument or equipment unless there is evidence of external impact.
- Additionally, we will not be liable for any loss of or damage to:
- Any Goods in wardrobes, drawers or appliances, or in a package, bundle, case or other container not both packed and unpacked by us.
- Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of a similar kind, unless you have previously given us full information including value, and we have confirmed in writing that we will accept responsibility in accordance with above.
- Goods which have a relevant proven defect or are inherently defective.
- Animals and their cages or tanks including pets, birds or fish.
- Plants.
- Refrigerated or frozen food or drink.
- Other than because of our negligence, we will not be liable for damages or costs resulting indirectly from, or as a consequence of loss, damage, or failure to deliver the Goods.
- Wear and tear, gradual deterioration, scratching, bruising or denting.
- Loss or damage of motor vehicles / goods / furniture caused by scratching, denting and marring unless You obtain from us a pre-collection condition report. Most of items we move are not brand new and it is not possible to make a note of scratches or the current condition of every item which is the reason why scratches are not covered in the insurance unless you request a pre-collection report of items for which charges may apply.
Payments/Claims:
- Customer cannot deduct amount from the agreed sum. Any dispute regarding payment can only be made to our insurance provider after the event. We reserve the legal right to keep goods if no payment is forthcoming.
- If the payment is non-coming and items are moved into storage the customer will be liable for the cost of storage.
- We have legal right to auction off the goods after 28 days if no payment has been received.
- Any damage/impairment to goods must be notified within 7 days after which there is no legal requirement for us to proceed with the claims.
- Payment on the day must be paid prior to unloading.
- In case of hourly service time elapsed over 15 minutes will be charged as an hour.
- We reserve the right to notify debt collection agency in case of any monies owed. Agency fee will be added to the original sum.
- If payment if overdue after five days, we reserve the right to levy a late payment administration fee of £35 per day.
